Feelin’ Discombobulated?

Have you ever found your self driving along enroute to your destination, lost in time and space, and then suddenly, to your own amazement you arrived there, safe and in one piece.

How was that possible?

How did you get from where you were to where you were going, when your mind was far off in Never-Never land?

We’ve all been there! The routes and/or the ruts in our life are so deep that our inner compass just takes us down the same “safe” path, over and over again. There we are driving merrily along until one day we hit a huge bump in the road…and poof!!!

Immediately our GPS kicks in!

RE-CALCULATING…RE-CALCULATING…RE-CALCULATING

From this point onward…life as we know it, has profoundly changed!

Instantly we become aware that we being asked,  “The Big Ask!”

We are being called forth to STOP the INSANITY,

WAKE UP and smell the coffee!

We are being challenged to stop rotely going along in life content with the same old status quo.  We are not only aroused out our deep slumber, but rudely awakened to the need for new destination and a new route.

Our work begins…we are in transition for old to new.

We are at a cross roads where we can no longer depend upon our inner GPS to take us safely home.  In fact…there is nothing “safe” about what we are feeling at all….Discombobulated!!

Now… is the time to reset the course… to change the route, and to make a conscious decision.  Adjustment is NEVER easy…but necessary for growth and change.  The ebb and flow for the previous love relationship “worked” for that season and time, until one party could no longer mindlessly go along!  For whatever reason the big BUMP in the road is meant to wake us up from our passive life, and cause us to get back on course.

We have entered into the transition between our two worlds,
the old and the new,
married and single again,
who we were and who we want to be…

A first step in this process is Acceptance…then AWARENESS!

Our BIG adjustment here begins with…SELF.

…YOU are about to face the Man in the Mirror!

Reflections:

  1. Who do you see when you stand in front of the mirror?
  2. Listen to   “Man in the Mirror” by Michael Jackson
what is this song saying to you?
  3. What do you need to own?   What do you need to take responsibility for?
